Masonic Awareness @ the Speed of Light.

Begin and end 2011 with Freemasonry on your mind! The Dwight L. Smith Lodge of Research, UD will present a series of free lectures beginning January 1, 2011, through December 31, 2011, via the Internet at www.WEOFM.org. A list of the diverse international presenters and stimulating topics can be found on the “Trestle Board” at the WEOFM website.

These lectures will be presented on the web at www.WEOFM.org on an announced basis, the first one being shown January 1, 2011 and continuing throughout the year. We are pleased to offer this group of experts in their subjects to bring you Masonic Awareness @ the Speed of Light. Each presentation will conclude with an on-line chat room where you may provide feedback to others as well as the lecturer. The exact time of the lectures will be made available as soon as an appropriate time is coordinated with the lecturer. These times and additional information about the series will be posted on www.WEOFM.org no later than December 1, 2010.

We encourage you to visit the website at your earliest opportunity and leave us a message by using our contact tab. You may join the site as a user and view the trestle board at any time. Furthermore, join us, January 1, 2011 and enjoy Masonic Awareness @ the Speed of Light.

The Old Fort MM Degree

Worshipful Master,

On behalf of our Worshipful Master Kent Halloran and all of Wayne Lodge 25, and Worshipful Master Kunt Begue and all of Huntertown Lodge 689, I'd like to extend to you an invitation to attend our outdoor Master Mason degree on Saturday, May 22 at the Old Fort in downtown Fort Wayne. Registration will begin at 8am and Lodge will open at 9:00am sharp. All Master Masons are encouraged to join us for this historical event. Golf course attire is appropriate and it is recommended that you bring a lawn chair. After closing the Lodge, we will have a procession across the footbridge to Headwater's Park where we will be re-dedicating our historic marker which was originally erected in 1977 and taken down when the park was built. The minutes from the original meeting at the Old Fort will be read at the re-dedication.

There will be a sign-up sheet for visiting brethren interested in being a part of the walking craft.
Please pass this along to your lodge and brethern and if any one is interested to check Wayne Lodge's website ( http://wayne25.com/ ) the night before for last minute weather announcements or updates. Parking at Headwaters.

We look forward to this historic event and hope you can join us. The itinerary is as follows:

8am - Registration/ coffee and donuts
9am - Open on the Master Mason Degree
10:30am - 2nd half with lectures
1pm - Foot of the bridge at Headwaters Park - Reading of first Wayne Lodge meeting minutes (March 30,1823)
1pm - Dedication of sign

Worshipful Brother Wade is the 2009 Prestonian Lecturer, of the United Grand Lodge of England. This evening marks the first time Indiana has ever hosted such a world famous event, and every Freemason should attend if possible. Join us this September 11th 2010, to offer not only remembrance of an American tragedy, but also celebrate our fraternal spirit and global brotherhood.

This evening will begin with a reception, followed by Worshipful Brother Wades’ world famous lecture, which, after its conclusion a festive board and dinner will be held.
All attendees will have an opportunity to obtain an autographed souvenir booklet of the event.

Honoring Waynedale

Tonight was Honor Waynedale Lodge night. The job’s did a wonderful presentation and show plenty of energy and support for Waynedale.

The photo shows a donation to our closet of cleaning supplies. This is the Job’s way of saying “we live here and we want to help with what we can.”

Thank you Job’s. It is an honor and privilege that you come to Waynedale. Thanks, especially for the Mountain Dew.

Greetings from the East.

Brethren a motion was made to begin using the Executive Committee program at the March stated meeting. This will require that we amend our by-laws. This is your notice as required by Masonic Law. Waynedale will vote on a by-law amendment at the April stated meeting.

As the weather starts to warm we look forward to return of the snow birds. If it has been a while since you have made a visit to your Lodge maybe it is time for a return of your own? Only with your involvement, can we have the fellowship that builds the Masonic bonds. If you want Masonry to be more than just paying dues come and visit, when you arrive, if you don’t know anyone, strike up a conversation, before you leave you will have made at least two new friends.

I would like to thank Brother Pedden. Pat you continue to be an inspiration that all Mason’s should strive to attain. For those of you who missed it, Pat served up 30 dozen donuts February 20th. All monies raised from this event are restricted for charity. Mark your calendars for May15 as this will be your next opportunity to enjoy coffee and donuts at Waynedale.

We have raised our first Master Mason in 2010. Way to go guys, it gets easier each time you present the degrees on.

For the past few years Waynedale has participated in the Grand Lodge ‘Lodge Visitation Program’ and this year is no exception. Our visits give us a chance to enjoy fellowship with other Lodges, make new acquaintances, learn new and improved ways to make our Lodge stronger and if asked we are always happy to share success stories. We even share our double secret dinner recipes. Who would believe it, Mason’s getting together over food and recipes?   Brothers you are invited, come join us, travel with us, make Masonry fun.

April 2 will be our Spring Fish Fry. The event will be held at Waynedale 4 to 7pm and is open to the public.

Our next stated meeting will be 4/7/10, dinner at 6pm. meeting at 7:30pm.

No breakfast in April due to the holiday weekend.

Unpaid Dues can be a big problem for all Lodges. If you are having a problem in these hard times paying your dues or know of a Brother who is having trouble paying, please contact me @260-432-7215. We are in this together, for the long haul, of friendship, brotherly love and helping one another.
